Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Brackenbury Primary School is a mainstream setting (not a special school). At Brackenbury Primary School we will ensure that all children are valued equally, regardless of their abilities and/or social, emotional or behavioural problems. The school recognises that all children are entitled to have access to a broad and balanced curriculum which is differentiated to meet their individual needs.
Detailed information about how the school supports pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities can be found in our Information report for parents and our SEN policy. (See bottom of this webpage)

Accessibility
The Equality Act 2010 aims to protect disabled people and prevent disability discrimination. It provides legal rights for disabled people in all areas of life including education.
Brackenbury Primary School comprises a main four storey building with two separate outbuildings (The Shed and Nursery classroom) which are single storey. The nature of the site means there are many internal steps. Whilst the Equality Act does not require schools to change their premises; it does require an action plan to be made for improving access to the premises.
